today was the start of the lanvin ss '09 trunk show at barneys
it was really nice to see the collection in person, though i was greatly impressed from the pictures.
the sequins/embellishing etc were quite beautiful,
as were the leopard prints!

They also had samples of their denim collaboration with acne, which I'm anticipating not only because of the lower price point, but the unusual use of denim for various pieces of clothing (trench coats and short shorts!).

Another part of the collection that I enjoyed was the t-shirts, which I believe are part of resort.

and of course, the best part of the trunk show was meeting Alber Elbaz himself.
he has the quote of the day,
"you have big hair and you're a big fan!"
